Propeller Shaft Guards

Metal guards for the drive shafts were introduced, as shown by the service bulletins below, in mid-1946. They remained an available option, as indicated by this item from the reproduction Special Equipment Catalog 1957-1958.

Scott’s Demo Jeep Shaft Guard Installation

Scott uses his “body-off” CJ2a to demonstrate how the various Farm Jeep components work. He has added a set of shaft guards, painted bright yellow inside to make them easily visible to onlookers. Scott has sent us several pictures that illustrate the installation.
