Zap! It’s Fall

Fall has come late to central Indiana. Temperatures have been warm, and the skies have been clear and blue. So we have been working outdoors and not spending much time on Farm Jeep projects. But suddenly it is November 1. The 2027 Holy Toledo Calendar has arrived, and it’s time to prepare for winter. We are back indoors working on new stories.

Coming Soon!

Here is a brief video of Kevin Crenshaw’s 1948 CJ2A with a Newgren lift at work. We will be posting Kevin’s Jeep story soon.

Oops – sparks under the dash and everything dead

That was the subject line of a CJ2A Page forum post by Barry. We were preparing the CJ3A for a long winter’s nap, only to find we had a broken choke cable. We ordered the part we needed, and the post describes what happened next. But the big news was the interest the post generated. Not only did it offer advice on how to find and fix the problem, but it also discussed dealing with declining flexibility when old guys work on these old Jeeps.

More new parts are on order, and we expect to have all the issues resolved soon. We were thankful for the help, and we are also happy to see that old-fashioned forums are alive and well. At last count, there were 62 responses and over 1,600 views.
